HealthGeek is published by Reason Media. In this Privacy Policy, "HealthGeek," "we," "us," and "our" refer to HealthGeek by Reason Media.
Introduction & Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you visit the HealthGeek website and any related pages we operate (the "Website").
HealthGeek is an independent publisher. We review and compare telehealth providers and products across a range of health categories, and we earn commissions when you click through to a partner brand and take a qualifying action. We do not provide medical care, consultations, diagnoses, or treatment.
This policy applies only to the HealthGeek Website. It does not apply to the third-party brand websites you reach by clicking our links — those sites are operated by other companies and have their own privacy policies. See "Third-Party Links" below.
Information We Collect
Information you give us directly
The newsletter form on our homepage asks for your full name and email address. It is provided through LeadConnector. If you otherwise communicate with us, we receive the information you choose to provide in that communication, which may include a phone number.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Website, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information, including your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, the pages you view and links you click, the referring URL, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
Cookies and tracking pixels
On selected sponsored articles, we use the Meta Pixel and Meta's server-side Conversions API to measure page views and clicks on paid links. Some paid links carry campaign identifiers from the page URL to the partner's link for attribution; this does not require a separate affiliate sub-ID cookie. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- operate, maintain, and improve the Website and its content;
- send the newsletter and other communications you request, and respond to your inquiries;
- measure and improve the performance of our advertising and content;

SMS / Text Messaging Communications
If you provide your mobile phone number and opt in, we may send you SMS/text messages.
By providing your phone number through our Website, forms, or other opt-in methods, you consent to receive SMS/text messages from HealthGeek by Reason Media.
Types of messages. Depending on the opt-ins you select, messages may include newsletter and content updates, deal or provider alerts you have requested, and customer-support communications. We send marketing or promotional messages only where you have explicitly opted in to receive them.
Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchase.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Opting out. You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP.
How we handle your mobile information. We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Mobile information may only be shared with trusted service providers strictly for delivering SMS communications on our behalf and never for their independent marketing use.

Email Communications
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address to send the messages you requested. You can unsubscribe using the instructions in those emails or by writing to the privacy address below. We may still send non-marketing messages, such as responses to requests you send us.

You (or an authorized agent) may submit a request by emailing privacy@mail.healthgeekreviews.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, and we may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
Health-Related Browsing Information
Our articles discuss health and wellness topics. The pages you view and paid links you click can therefore reveal topics you may be interested in. This browsing information is different from information you type into a form, but it can still be sensitive.
The Website and its service providers receive page addresses and technical information from your browser when you visit. On selected sponsored articles, the Meta Pixel and our server-side Conversions API send page-view and paid-link-click events to Meta for campaign measurement. Event information may include the address of the article you visited. If Google Analytics is enabled, it can receive page addresses, page titles, and usage events for site measurement.
Our newsletter form does not ask for your medical records, diagnoses, or treatment history. If you choose to visit a partner's site and provide health information there, that partner's privacy policy governs its collection and use of the information you provide to it.

Children's Privacy
The Website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

In deciding how long to keep it, we consider whether you remain subscribed, whether you have asked us to delete it, the settings and retention periods of the services we use, and any legal or recordkeeping requirements.
